Petra Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Petra Restaurant on Lighthouse Avenue feels like finding a quiet haven away from the coastal bustle of Pacific Grove. The ambiance strikes a gentle balance between warmth and ease, inviting you to slow down and settle in. Soft melodies mingle with the faint crackle of a fireplace, wrapping the space in a relaxed embrace that suits an intimate dinner or a casual gathering with close friends and family.
Here, the pace encourages thoughtful conversations and moments of genuine connection. The setting is comfortable but thoughtfully curated — a place where authentic Middle Eastern flavors meet Pacific Grove’s inviting charm. Freshly baked pita, rich dips, and thoughtfully spiced kabobs arrive at the table not just as food, but as an experience that feels nourishing and familiar. There’s a comforting rhythm to sharing these dishes: each bite opens a window to tradition, while allowing the evening to unfold naturally.
The service is attentive without being intrusive, creating a flow that enhances the overall sense of ease. Whether it’s the subtle aroma of Turkish coffee or the layered tastes of a mezze platter, there’s a thoughtful care in how each element is presented — everything feels genuine, as if crafted to offer a small escape through flavors and thoughtful hospitality.
Petra quietly blends the authenticity of Middle Eastern cuisine with a peaceful atmosphere that resonates with the coastal town’s unpretentious spirit. It’s a quiet discovery, perfect for anyone seeking a heartfelt meal where atmosphere and food come together to invite reflection, comfort, and the simple joy of sharing a well-prepared meal.

A very relaxed and enjoyable evening experience for family, friends, or a date night. The food is delicious and comforting and packs the right flavor balance. The service is friendly, well timed, and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm with proper music, a fireplace, and excellent view. Absolutely enjoyable little restaurant and the lovely Pacific Grove.

The cold appetizer veg grape leaf n 3 dips are very good, the meals not as great as the appetizer. The lamb shish kebab too bland and the gyros lam or chicken too dry and the lamb meat have smell... they need to add more server..

Ordered the charbroiled chicken platter and it did not disappoint. Pita tasted fresh out of the oven and was delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Very happy with this place. The chicken gyro meat was seasoned deliciously. My family also thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back!
